The Till Valley Archaeological Society (TillVAS) has moved into new premises at Ford Forge, adjacent to the Heatherslaw Railway, and they are holding Open Days on Saturdays 9th and 16th April 2022, 10.00am – 3.00pm. In the Display Room there will be objects illustrating the industries and activities which have been pursued there (a spade and nail factory, a textile mill, a sawmill, a chapel) as well as old maps and details about the families who lived there.
Entry is free, and there will be activities for children. There is a public car park, and refreshments are available at the Boes Café at Heatherslaw Mill.
