Science Day at the Museum

On Saturday 19th March, as part of British Science Week, Berwick Museum will be hosting a free event called “Light on the Rocks”, a day of family activities suitable for children over 7. It will be attended by Dr Tom Challands of Edinburgh University, who will be bringing his fossil preparation kit with him – a big hit last year. Join him to explore the Museum’s rock and fossil collections. And Jenny Docherty will be demonstrating how to make a kaleidoscope. 11.00 – 3.30pmm

And on Good Friday, another family activity day, “Tales from the Sea”, will be held at the Museum, 11.00am – 3.30pm: storytelling, crafts, talks. The Dove Marine Laboratory will be coming to talk about their work with White Beaked Dolphins off the Berwick coast, amongst other things. They are promising to bring along some live specimens…
