Married at St. Mary’s Church

Mr Adam P. Morgan, son of Mrs Morgan, 66, Castlegate, Berwick was married on Saturday at ST. Mary’s Church, Berwick to Miss Margaret Patterson, daughter of Mr And Mrs Patterson, 5, Low Greens, Berwick. The service was conducted by the Vicar (the Rev. H.H. Wilcox). The bride was given in marriage by her father and was attended by her sister, Miss J. Patterson. Her gown was of a lavender shade and her hat of clover. She also wore a spray of carnations and a blue fox fur. The bridesmaid was attired in a blue dress with hat and shoes to tone. Mr John Henderson, a friend of the bridegroom, was best man. Owing to the international situation it was found inconvenient to hold a reception. Included in the large number of gifts was a canteen of cutlery from the staff of Messrs F.W. Woolworth, Ltd., where Miss Patterson was employed. Mr Morgan is employed by Mr J.Crow, painter and decorator, Berwick. From his employer he received a fireside set, and from fellow-workmen a clock. The bridegroom presented the bride with a fox fur and the bridesmaid with a gold bracelet. He received a gold wristlet watch from the bride.
