Berwick Museum & Art Gallery is currently hosting two exhibitions of arts and crafts with a Scandinavian connection. Textil / Juvel displays textiles and jewellery from seven leading contemporary artists in West Sweden; traditional techniques and new technologies are combined to explore a concern with the natural world and our impact upon it. The other exhibition presents paintings by Inger Lawrence, who was born in Denmark but has been based in Berwick since the 1980s. Her work has been inspired by the light and colour of local landscapes. Both exhibitions run until 10 June 2016.
