Friday 3rd July 2020 will be the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Berwick Record Office. Congratulations to all concerned! If it is sad that this takes place when the Record Office is in enforced shutdown and the events which would have celebrated it have had to be put off, that does not lessen what has been achieved in the last 40 years to build up the collections and to provide a vital information hub for local history. We are obliged to postpone our AGM and Spring Lecture which were scheduled to take place on Friday 27th March 2020. This is because of the current situation regarding the COVID-19 virus, and the Government advice concerning social gatherings. We shall seek to reschedule the event when circumstances allow, but at present it is not possible to say when that will be.
