  • Record Office move 30/06/2016

    From Wednesday 6 July 2016, the Record Office will be open to the public in its new accommodation in the refurbished Walkergate building – on the first floor alongside Berwick Library. 

    The opening hours remain the same:  Wednesday & Thursday, 9.30-1.00 and 2.00-5.00.

    Anyone who wishes to consult original documents should contact the Record Office in advance to order the materials and to make an appointment.

    There will be free wi-fi available in the new premises.

  • Flodden Exhibition 23/06/2016

    To mark the end of the Flodden 500 project, Berwick Museum is hosting an exhibition to show some of the material which has been discovered – archaeological finds alongside 16th century documents, and lots of hand-on activities.  It will be on show at the Museum between 18th June and 29th August 2016.  For visiting details, see this link:

  • Holy Island exhibition 22/06/2016

    On Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 June 2016, there will be an exhibition entitled “Holy Island in the Past” on display in the Village Hall on Holy Island.  It is open betweedn 11am and 4pm each day.  Admission free.

    The exhibition is being mounted in connection with the Peregrini project in which the Record Office is participating.

  • Armed Forces Day 22/06/2016

    Saturday 25 June is Armed Forces Day, and the Record Office is putting on a display about Berwick in 1916. In the Townhall, Berwick, between 10am and 1pm.  Admission free.
