    On Saturday 8th June 2024, 10.00am-12 noon, Northumberland Archives is holding a training event on Digital Resources for Family & Local History, to assist those who would like to find out about the online sources available to researchers in these areas.

    The session will take place at Beadnell Women’s Institute Hall.  It is a free event and no booking is required.

  • Barracks tours 21/05/2024

    If you would like to find out more about the Living Barracks Project, on Saturday 25 May 2024 representatives of the partner organisations will be offering two free walking tours around the Berwick Barracks site. The tours will take place at 10.00am and 11.30am. There is no need to book – when you arrive, just let the staff at the ticket office know that you have come for the tour.

  • Lowick Heritage Weekend 02/05/2024

    On Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May 2024 Lowick Heritage Group will be holding a weekend of talks and exhibitions in Lowick Village Hall, between 10.00am and 4.00pm. There is a £2 admission charge, and refreshments will be available.

    Among the talks, Linda Bankier will be speaking about  “The Old Bridge, Berwick” on Sunday at 2.30pm.

  • AGM and Spring lecture 16/02/2024

    The Annual General Meeting of The Friends will take place on Friday 15th March 2024 at 7.00pm in the Parish Centre, Berwick.  It will be followed by a talk by the Archivist Linda Bankier on “Thirty years work of The Friends”, marking the anniversary of the foundation of FBDMA in 1994.

    All welcome.  Light refreshments will be provided.  And a raffle will be held.
