An online talk entitled “For Better, For Worse: Irregular Border Marriages on the East Coast” is being given by Linda Bankier, Berwick Archivist, on Thursday 29 April 2021, 7.00 – 8.00pm, as part of Northumberland Archives’ series of talks. Linda looks at where these marriages were held, what they involved, and how they came about. She investigates the priests who performed the ceremonies and discusses the records that survive.
The talk will take place on Zoom. Tickets are free and should be booked in advance on the Eventbrite web page.
