The Maltings is presenting “To Get to the Other Side”, a new play by Berwick writer Jackie Kaines Lang which explores the lives which were caught up in the building of the Royal Border Bridge and the struggle to get it completed on time in 1850. The story is told through the experiences of two local families as they negotiate the conflicts and pressures of the time and the place, with traditional music woven through the drama.
Performances take place in the Henry Travers Studio on Wednesday 22nd, Thursday 23rd, and Friday 24th February 2022, starting at 7.00pm. Tickets are £12 (£10 concs). See the Maltings website for more information and booking.
